What to bring to spend a few days in Cuba

In January it can get into the 50’s at night. Daytime temperatures will between 73 and
83 degrees while nighttime temperatures drop down between 57 and 67 degrees. Thus
for evenings a light jacket or sweater will probably be needed.
A cross-body bag (a fanny pack carried across the chest) is much safer than a purse or
carrying a wallet in your pocket, for your important things like passport and cash and
cell phone

  • Your daily supply of vitamins and or medicines (Tylenol, Advil, Pepto-Bismol)
  • Sunscreen and mosquito repellent
  • Sun hats, small umbrella and Sunglasses
  • Sneakers or Walking sandals
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Wet wipes

If you have any favorite snacks that you would miss too much, it is OK to bring some
along.

Flushable moist wipes should be carried (many places do not have toilet paper)
Personal devices (cellphone, camera, laptop) along with the chargers and a power
bank
Here are some important things to take into account about using your cell phone in
Cuba. It is good if you call your cell phone company and find out if they having roaming
in Cuba and how much is it per minute. If your cell carrier doesn’t work in Cuba, I will
supply some temporary Sim cards you could use in your phone for communications.

It is important to install the WhatsApp application on your cell phone, we will be able to
communicate through WhatsApp. My WhatsApp number is (352) 228-9006

While in the Habana airport you may get a wifi connection to contact me through
WhatsApp. I will be waiting for you at the exit door of customs. The wait sometimes
seems long before your bag appears to collect your luggage but then they rarely check
your bags. But do NOT bring a drone. Cuba does not allow drones.
